Unethical and potentially illegal HR practices. I was hired as a Research Advisor, signed all binding documents (Offer, NDA, Terms), and received my company laptop. My Background Verification (BGV) was officially marked "Green" and "Complete" on the portal. However, 48 hours after I disclosed my pregnancy, my access was revoked. Most alarmingly, I have documented evidence that my "Green" BGV status was manually wiped and changed to "blank" on the portal immediately after my disclosure—clearly to manufacture a "performance" excuse to avoid maternity obligations.
