Role fraud after 12 interviews: Invested 4 months and a dozen rounds for AWS Solutions Architect Associate. Joined to discover actual job was Sr. Principal Engineer — pure DevOps/platform engineering. Not a "minor shift" — a fundamentally different career track. Repeated escalations ignored: Raised role mismatch multiple times via email and direct conversations. Responses dismissive — "subject lines were different," "next appraisal we'll review," etc. Career destruction by design: AWS Solutions Architecture and Principal Engineer DevOps are divergent tracks. Two years of forced DevOps has made my cloud architecture profile stale, despite after-hours self-learning. 50L offer declined on false promise: Had a 50 LPA external offer. Declined it based on verbal assurances that compensation gap would close in "next appraisal." Two years, zero movement. Performance bonus bait-and-switch: Orally assured as recurring. Recently admitted one-time only — after two years of budget planning around it. Post-joining abandonment: Maximum effort to secure signature. Minimum effort to honor what was signed for. Appraisal insult: Learned unfamiliar tech stack from scratch, delivered on internal projects, conducted large volume of interviews — hike matched or fell below QA non-performer levels. Emails to leadership unanswered: Multiple mails flagged dissatisfaction with appraisal and role misalignment. No HR or senior leadership intervention.
