Avantages

Good health benefits. Excellent supervisors. Most colleagues are nice and good to work with. Somewhat advanced automated technology improving continually. High call volume during AEP. High/Average to Low call volume during lock-in period depending on call routing and shift.

Inconvénients

Is it dire straits? Only time will tell. It's kind of like the first grade. If the children aren't following extremely strict adherence, there will be unfavorable consequences. Really!!!??? Note: management does not lead by example! Medicare Compliance team and management not on the same page leading to confusion and unwarranted pressure. Egotistical Upper management can't face reality that Insurance agents, if productive, will make a lot of money relative to the trade. Often times near or more than management. That's just the way it is in sales no matter what the product is. Painful as it is, ehealth commission plans are a joke and keep getting worse. Every time we start selling more and making more money the comp plan is significant slashed. Management has actually verbalize that agents don't need to make more than $5k in commission per month! What an insult! Earnings were over projected and stock dropped overnight, resulting in a huge loss. Shareholders are pissed. As a backlash from the grenade, nearly 200 employees were terminated and of course the comp plan, once again reduced. Late last year, ehealth Medicare began airing a morally ambiguous, low-budget commercial targeting certain demographics. The callers are skeptical, argumentive and unknowledgeable. Most often, don't know why they're calling and the common denominator, they want something free from the government as the commercial implies.....miss leading at best. The calls are mentally draining...liken to a case worker for the health and human services department. Professional top performing agents and managers are leaving at the earliest opportunity for more favorable stable careers. Note: the job pool isn't what it was 4 years ago. There's much more opportunity available for experienced professionals. If you're looking for a professional rewarding career, ehealth will not fulfill that aspiration. They no longer promote growth and occasionally demote based on how ehealth stock is holding out.

Avantages

The Pay was somewhat alright.

Inconvénients

The Place was a mess! The work was extremely stressful and daunting! everyone looses thier voice at some point from constantly talking. Each sale lasts about 1-3hours, due to rules, requirements, and mandatory verbiage. Too many grey areas, for management to single you out, and penalize you for undefined verbiage, which leads to penalties and pay deductions. Management is stealth in discrimination and abuse. Like I said, too many grey areas. So if they have something against you, too many opportunities to penalize you unjustly. I lost over $4000 from this alone. Your metrics can be whatever they want it to be. Management even said to me, I quote, "We can move numbers around here and there", during a virtual meeting.
