      In its most basic form, OSPF is a link state routing protocol. It uses LSA to build LSDB which in turn is used to build topology table and consequently routing table. It uses cost as its metric.

      Its a lot involved here, you can go on for days talking about OSPF so if they ask you about it be prepared to be asked A LOT of questions about it
