How do you plan trade shows?

Answering an overly broad question is fair enough question. I was interviewing for a position with pay, title and scope fully in tactical execution of event and trade show logistics. Asking an overly broad question for a position buried in careful attention to details and execution reflected a disregard for the nuance of the position. It would be like me asking "how do you sell a software system?" Answerable, but not meaningful or thoughtful.
