What is the difference between using max-width and min-width?

The maax-width and min-width both are used for writing media queries constraints. Max width, defines the screen size up to the specified screen size,(in desktop first fashion) on the contrary min width defines the screen size above the specified screen size. It works in mobile first fashion.
