#Chloé was established in 1952 by Gaby Aghion, whose intuitive, modern designs made her a women’s ally. Continuing her legacy today, Chloé supports several NGOs and social enterprises that work to close the gender gap via donations, volunteering time and supply chain orders. Each year, Chloé offers its employees the opportunity to undertake 16 hours of volunteer work with NGOs whose purposes align with those of the Maison. In 2024, we aim to complete 2,200 volunteering hours worldwide. To help us reach this target, July 16th marked the first Chloé Volunteering Day held at our Paris headquarters in partnership with Unis-Cité Solidarité Entreprises. The local teams had the opportunity to participate in activities proposed by seven NGOs on three topics: women's advancement, social inclusion, and environmental protection. Thank you to all 124 participants who logged 570 hours of volunteering throughout the day. You touched the lives of 584 beneficiaries through activities such as coaching and personal care sessions, the preparation of hygiene kits, and household handiwork.

Among the Spring-Summer 2023 season’s breakthrough innovations is the new Gayia eyewear line, which are made entirely of ReAce, a 100% recycled acetate derived from pre-consumer acetate scraps. Using what already exists is always preferable to producing virgin materials and the Gayia line reaffirms Chloé’s commitment to reducing environmental impact through the use of lower-impact materials. Every design is engraved with the Gayia founding principle on the inside of the temple alongside the colour name and its limited edition numbering, which makes it very unique.
Today our sustainability journey continues with the publication of the Chloé 2022 Impact Report. This year, we have either achieved or excelled in 18 of our 22 flagship objectives. For instance, we reached our goal of 60% of lower-impact Ready-to-wear products and reduced our carbon emissions by 25% per product, reaching our 2025 ambition two years in advance. While we are extremely proud of our accomplishments, made possible thanks to the unwavering dedication of all Chloé collaborators, we are conscious that there is still much progress to be made – by both our Maison and the luxury fashion industry as a whole – in order for there to be systemic change. We must continue to raise the bar, which is why at Chloé we are being even more ambitious with our 2023 objectives – aligned with our Maison's purpose: ‘Women Forward. For a fairer future’. The four pillars of our sustainability strategy, along with our objectives and achievements are detailed in the report, which is available to read and download here: https://lnkd.in/eVQiNtZM

Chloé is proud to partner with the World Fair Trade Organisation-certified social enterprise Mifuko, which works with more than 1300 highly skilled women in rural Kenya. The objective of Mifuko (‘pocket’ in Swahili) is to ensure no one is left with empty pockets. The women are paid a fair wage and the additional income stream reduces dependence on farming in an unpredictable climate. Since 2021, Chloé has been collaborating with Mifuko who hand-weave the Maison’s Woody basket bags from materials such as natural straw or organic cotton. Each bag comes with the makers' signature in recognition and celebration of the many women worldwide who bring Chloé to life.
