J'ai travaillé chez Disneyland Resort en contrat permanent (Plus de 8 ans)

    Avantages

    Job security
Good work-life balance, we only work the minimum hours and lots of vacation time
    Fun atmosphere
    Good health benefits
    Looks excelent on your CV

    Inconvénients

    Low pay
Very poor quality of people to work with
    Very hard to promote
Very dificult to move onto strategic departments if you start at operational, you can do a degree but then they ask for experience, no chance for self-starters
To demanding for the pay they offer
Management does not care abot employees or clients, they just focus on the task and go home.
Seem more a place were people swipe their card, do their repetitive tasks and go home

    Conseils à la direction

Try and give a chance to your people, some may seem just an operational staff but maybe they are just completing a degree and are hungry to do the next step in their career, give them a chance.

Je travaille chez Disneyland Resort à plein temps (Plus de 8 ans)

    Avantages

The pay is more than fair and the benefits are far greater than any place I've ever worked before. Medical, dental, and vision plans are affordable and extensive. Stock matching, 401k, and pension plans to help in retirement. Safe and positive working environment in a friendly atmosphere. All amenities readily available for any type of work concern or mishap. Company rich in heritage.

    Inconvénients

Round the clock shifts are necessary. Expectations high for attention to safety in work and environment. Duties and work environment change often.

    Conseils à la direction

Make yourself readily available to subordinates and open to suggestions. Help fellow Cast Members to grow and be successful.

J'ai travaillé chez Disneyland Resort à temps partiel (Moins d'un an)

    Avantages

    - Training — The trainers were friendly, thorough, and happy to answer questions.
    - Benefits — Free parking and park admission with very few block out dates. Discounts (though small) on food, merchandise, vacation packages, etc.
    - Team — Friendly fellow Cast Members were always ready to help. Shift Leads were good at their leadership roles. Managers were extremely kind.
    - Growth — Throughout training, the opportunity for growth within the company was emphasized a lot. There’s a lot of room for high-performing Cast Members to achieve leadership positions.

    Inconvénients

    - Scheduling — The scheduling was not flexible. All of my shifts were 11PM to 3AM; I was informed that this would not change for a couple of months. The only way to change these shifts was to switch with another Cast Member, but after asking around not many people wanted the closing shift. I would have loved to stay with the company, but the hours were not reasonable for me.

J'ai travaillé chez Disneyland Resort à temps partiel (Moins d'un an)

    Avantages

    Great perks
Generally those you work with are fun.
Cool insight to how the parks function every day
Creating magic for guests leaves you with an amazing feeling.

    Inconvénients

Management can be out for themselves.
    Play favorites
    Guests can be very rude

    Conseils à la direction

Actually care about your employees and not how to move up the corporate ladder.

Je travaille chez Disneyland Resort à temps partiel

    Avantages

Coworkers are some of the best people you'll meet. They're friendly and most of them encourage you to do your best. Disney Perks are also good. The Main Entrance Pass has a lot of blocked out dates during peak seasons, which sucks, but it's mosy open other times.

    Inconvénients

Management is super unorganized. The pay sucks for the amount of work you do. You'll most likely be extended to a 12 hour shift if someone calls out. And the less seniority you have the less hours you'll get.

    Conseils à la direction

Get your act together. You need leads but won't award the lead status. You need food preps but won't cross train fsw's.

  7. « It's ok for a little bit »

    StarStarStarStarStar
    Employé actuel - Employé anonyme
    Employé actuel - Employé anonyme

Je travaille chez Disneyland Resort à plein temps

    Avantages

It's incredibly fun. You get a lot of opportunities that I can't imagine getting anywhere else and seeing people enjoy the park and being a part of their experience is special

    Inconvénients

There is not much upward mobility, and the pay is not always worth moving up. Managers change constantly and because things at the park also change constantly, there can be a lot of confusion and ineffective operations.
