Avantages
For the salary, I’m honest, it’s the best part.
Inconvénients
I’m currently working at EIOPA and honestly, it’s not what I expected when I joined. There is a lot of communication about diversity and development, but in practice, I don’t see real actions behind. For example, I did the female development programme. It was interesting at the moment, but after that, nothing really happened. No concrete follow-up, no support, no career impact. It’s more for the image than for making change. In daily work, it’s also difficult. Many colleagues are not really open to help, or not capable to support. Often you feel alone with your tasks, and it’s not easy to progress or learn in this way. As a experienced professional with a professional insurance accreditation, I feel that our skills are not recognised. The culture is very political. You have to do a lot of networking and visibility to be considered. Just doing your job correctly is not enough. Honestly, I find it disappointing and I don’t see real perspectives to grow. I stay for now, but I’m not satisfied.
