Difficult to change and to communicate

Getting hired - even for an entry level position - took a long time. I went in for 4 or 5 interviews, one of which was the assistant dean of the school. I understand they want to hire the best candidates, but I thought this was excessive, especially since I did not live close to the city during the hiring process.
