    Avantages

    Working from home, great pay, excellent benefits, awesome team, amazing co-workers, fast paced, overtime opportunities, excellent support from shift supervisors, team leads listen and take feedback that's given and take action on issues.

    Inconvénients

    All contact channels can get really busy at the same time and it gets overwhelming, holidays are super busy, you're guaranteed to work. There's not honestly a lot that I can say is a con

    Need additional support across all channels during the summer time, otherwise, keep doing what you're doing, honestly, the support is amazing, the feedback, development, everything.

    Avantages

    I'm honored to be a part of such a creative, energetic company. I love our high standards and determination to be the best. Our culture is fun and incredibly respectful, I feel constantly supported and encouraged to push myself to be as successful as possible. I had never worked remotely before and was worried about missing out on the normal office environment, but I have never felt more connected to my coworkers as I do here. Our team makes sure that we're all on the same page, we have designated 1:1 time with our managers where we are free to discuss any updates there have been or anything we may need help with.

    Inconvénients

    Working from home is not for everyone. It takes a lot of discipline to take the position as seriously as you would being within an office, and not everyone can do that easily.

    Avantages

    I really like it here?! It's actually the most positive working environment I've personally experienced and I feel valued as an employee. Benefits, quarterly hotel credits, work from home, Apple laptop, etc. I've had so many great opportunities to learn and grow - never get bored!!

    Inconvénients

    Things change really fast - I wish we had more time off the phone to meet since we are a remote team.

    Avantages

    Honestly this job is amazing! I've worked here for almost a year and am genuinely happy. Honestly who can say that about their first job? Every company says "the people are amazing" but what sets HT apart is not just truly the caliber of those hired. Honestly I graduated top of my class at an Ivy League institution, but had never felt as inspired or challenged by those around me as I have during my time. What makes it even crazier is that the brainiacs here- are not just intelligent they're the kind of people you wanna drink a beer with (and yes- sometimes that beer turns into several by the time Happy Hour is over).

    The work life balance is unbeatable in NYC- I leave and come in at very reasonable hours (9-6pm) and we're out at 2pm for Summer Fridays! They stand by unlimited vacation and make it so that work never gets in the way of your personal life. Total autonomy, yet a very collaborative and supportive environment ( basically the hardest combination to find). I really cannot speak to how great it is to work here enough. 10/10 would recommend!

    Inconvénients

    Their salary range is much lower than other firms attracting top talent. Livable wage for NYC and SF but not much more. They have opportunities for raises, but it will still never get you to the level of (the big 4, IB, FANG, etc.)

    Avantages

    What can I say?
    I've learned so many things at this company. And I am not just talking about sales, account management, forecasting, building excel models etc. I am talking about Values. Transparency, respect, curiosity. We question things and we try to make them better, always with respect. I work with great people that I can call my friends, I am an active part of the decisions that the leadership team makes, and I had the opportunity to grow professionally inside HT, and even after more than 3 years, I still think I have a lot to do here!
    I truly think this is one of the best companies I could work for.

    Inconvénients

    The headquarters are in SF so most departments are based there and I am sure working in our HQ would be more exciting. BUT, the good thing is that we can go there through our office exchange program!

    Inconvénients

    Low Pay (starts out ok, but you will not get a raise)
    No PTO time off approval.
    Stressful work environment (too many agents out on stress leave, leaves too much slack for employees currently working)
    Management has changed and is not trained well enough to help agents.
    Policies are constantly changing, with no warning.
    Customer service is being outsourced, taking away jobs from work at home agents.
    Seniority means nothing.

    When I started at Hotel Tonight it was simply amazing. Great morale, great team, work was a blast. When head management changed, everything changed. Morale dropped, policies changed weekly, people were leaving or being let go left and right, team members were promoted that were not given the training they needed to lead.

    Focus more on your work at home team, instead of outsourcing the customer service positions and focusing on the in house teams. Work at home customer service feels left out and not appreciated at all anymore.

    Stop promoting team members simply because you "like" them. Simply liking someone does not qualify them to lead other team members or should give them authority over other agents who have been there years longer than them.

    People are going to continue to leave or have to take stress leave unless this company gets back to its roots and starts taking care of agents. Clean out the management who has caused the decline in moral and changes the policies so fast nobody can keep up with them.

    Inconvénients

    - low pay (it starts out ok, just don't expect a raise)
    - inflexible shifts (no rotation)
    - PTO scheduling is something else, you can ask months ahead and still get denied a single day of PTO (you have to call in sick if you really need the day off)
    - CX management seems out of touch with the reality relating to the work of a cx agent
    - I have seen many agents having burn outs
    - declining company culture
    - employees who work remotely don't get any of the cool perks (gym memberships, free lunches, picnics etc) the SFC HQ folks are enjoying
    - lack of opportunities for advancement, it's a job, not a career

    Conseils à la direction

    I enjoyed my fast paced job. Assisting customers and hotel partners while solving issues related to the operational side of the business was fun. However, the CX team culture is changing - and not for the best. While change is necessary for the growth of the company, CX management should never forget that respect is not just a word - bring it back.

    - Given the opportunity to have complete ownership of your market(s) from day 1, hence high responsibility and independence
    - Highly client facing role, which involves being the HotelTonight expert, the Industry expert and the Revenue Management expert for your market(s)
    - Many opportunities to take part in cross functional projects within the company to hone skills different to those used for the day to day job
    - Work hard, play hard environment
    - Amazing people
    - Many perks such as health insurance, gym membership discount, all day everyday snacks, catered lunch on some days of the week, monthly events.

    Inconvénients

    - One has to be prepared to adapt to change, as the environment is ever changing due to its fast paced nature. This can involve additional work at the very last minute in order to comply with the changes, but on the positive side, this is what makes it as interesting and fun as it is.

    Avantages

    The best parts about HotelTonight are:
    1) The people. Everyone is bright, driven, and a go-getter.
    2) Autonomy. When you join the supply team and take over a market, you OWN the growth of that market, and quickly are given full autonomy to tackle its challenges in the way you see best fit as that city's expert.
    3) Culture. We like to work hard, and will always be trying creative new tactics to push our markets forward. At the same time, we also recognize it's important to cultivate other interests outside of your job, and celebrate those.

    Inconvénients

    HotelTonight isn't the place for you if you're not a hustler. The Supply Team roles are incredibly dynamic which is great, but if you're the type that wants the same structure each day and to work within the confines of that structure, it's probably not the best fit.
