      Avantages

      IGBMC offers several facilities and quality services, so you rarely need to go to other institutes to conduct your experiments. Everything is available in-house, from the animal facility to sequencing, which greatly simplifies daily research work.

      Inconvénients

      The institute was founded decades ago by emerging scientists with the ambition of creating a center of excellence for career-driven professionals. Over time, it has unfortunately become a place where harassment is frequent, and many people experience burnout. Principal Investigators are often unprepared to properly mentor trainees, and the institute itself tends to side with them rather than with students or postdocs. The HR department is understaffed, which results in inadequate support for trainees’ needs.
