Same issues seem to persist even after I left. Some managers still act more like controllers than leaders — focused on visibility and self-promotion instead of supporting their teams or delivering real results. They simply lack the skills and values needed to justify the positions they hold. It creates a frustrating environment and keeps driving good people away, like in Marketing. What’s worse is that, despite clear evidence, these individuals remain untouchable because of their close connections with senior leadership. Until leadership takes that seriously and raises the bar, nothing’s really going to change.
