Avantages
The interview process is easy. It’s a good company if you’re just starting out in the software engineering world. You can learn and practice basic things that will be useful in the future. People are friendly, and if you need something, they’ll help and listen—whether it’s your team, your lead, or HR. They are flexible with schedules, and the work pace is not demanding.
Inconvénients
There’s poor organization and a lack of leadership across all teams. The overall skill level of professionals is not too great, and there’s no staff-level software engineer available for guidance or problem-solving. Communication between teams is weak—backend and frontend have no real interaction in their daily work, which I find very strange. I’ve never received client feedback, bug reports related to my work, or felt any need to monitor production environments—it’s as if no one really cares about what I’m working on. I wouldn’t recommend this company to experienced software engineers, since you won’t really be able to implement any improvements (unless you’re in a leadership role, maybe), and you’ll have to adapt to a poor working dynamic. The code quality and development practices are bad and disorganized—it’s not scalable. A software engineer here doesn’t do everything they should, either due to bureaucracy, other teams owning tasks, insufficient permissions, or a lack of access—it’s a frustrating experience. The company lacks identity and culture. Any good tech company today usually has a strong and respected culture, but here, that concept doesn’t even seem to exist. The onboarding is also poor and disorganized. My first task was not appropriate for someone who was just getting to know the project—the tasks should have been more progressive to ensure proper learning without rushing, achieve better code quality, and avoid frustration. This also applies to interns, who always seem lost. If you’re not highly autonomous, you won’t be able to contribute much, if anything. Lastly, there is no clear career path or defined goals set by a leader to help improve your salary or grow to the next level.
