    Avantages

Proactive growth plan for both employee and employer. Knowledge is shared and actually perpetuated for an employee to follow an upward mobility career path. Managers are extremely hands on and they are willing to talk to you about your future and current career and personal plans and how that all fits together. Bonuses and raises are an additional factor. I manage my own workload so there is absolutely NO micro-management here, yet my manager is tuned into my daily struggles and achievements and advocates for not only me, but our entire team. Training and learning opportunities are endless. You can go as far as you are willing to if you want to put in the effort and effort is definitely recognized. I feel blessed to be employed here.

    Inconvénients

Heavy workload, but really, I prefer to be busy and increase my skill set.

    Conseils à la direction

None . I think they are setup to acknowledge employees to the best of their ability. They are definitely VERY accessible. Many are also client facing and service minded.

Je travaille chez Paycor à plein temps (Plus d'un an)

    Avantages

Paycor is an amazing company that promotes a team environment and the ability to be creative. We take care of our internal and external customers every day. Our company is built on 9 guiding principles that go beyond the walls of Paycor, what we do matters both on and off the job. In today's world it seems very rare a company proactively follows its "value statement" but Paycor is the exception.

    Inconvénients

If you are a person who needs to be micromanaged or enjoys a cookie cutter environment, then Paycor would not be an ideal atmosphere.

    Conseils à la direction

Never stop asking your employees for feedback, continue to promote open dialogue and never lose focus on where we came from and where we are going, even with these recent changes of partnership.

Je travaille chez Paycor à plein temps (Pendant plus de 3 ans)

    Avantages

When people start talking about coffee as a pro I have to wonder.. anyway. The main pros are that you get to work with some fantastic people, for a company that really does care about the employees, that's very driven by being part of the community that they have employees .
You get to work for a company that is groing leaps and bounds that has some smart people at the helm. And you get to be part of a company that has a fantastic product suite that many of it's customers and the people who work for those customers seem to love. Finally you get to be part of an expanding business that has lots of opportunities for growth for it's employees.

    Inconvénients

There are a number of cons. Yes, not every manager is the beat manager to work for, yes there have been some changes in leadership, yes there was a very small layoff 18 months ago (and it was such a shock because the company had never seen layoffs before), yes not every employee gets the benefits of working at the HQ and some of the things that brings (free waffles for breakfast last week) , yes there are some challenges with service (and when I say some we have a 92 % retention rate), yes sales can be a tough job, yes sometimes we work squirrels hours. But tell me a company that does not have these challenges. I love working for Paycor, even with some of those real challenges, because of all the things that are pros.

    Conseils à la direction

Although we have picked up employees communication, let's try and do an even better job. Let's keep those lines of communication with all of the employees open. Keep being real people with real challenges and real lives but be aware many of us have real life challenges too. Thanks for all that you do for us.

J'ai travaillé chez Paycor en Contrat Permanent (Pendant plus de 3 ans)

    Avantages

Lots of work perks, free tshirts, company paid happy hours, talks a good game, good pay, average benefits

    Inconvénients

Disconnected management, lack of employer engagement, say one thing and do another, lack of training and support resources, siloed business process, overworked employees,

    Conseils à la direction

Bob Coughlin is the face of Paycor but the company is really run by Stacy Browning. They act like they are transparent and have open door policies but they really dont. Managers are constantly in meetings and not available for their teams. Managers are hired externally and have no idea what their teams do on a daily basis, which creates lack of support. Training is all high level, then daily job functions are taught via job shadowing, which is difficult when everyone is overworked. Employees are given multiple opportunities to provide feedback, but nothing ever comes from it. Higher ups care more about the money coming in than developing talent and products. Products are launched before anyone is trained on them so sales is giving clients wrong information, which sets them up for a poor client experience across the board. Last year (from 2017 to 2018) Paycor lost 25% of their clients due to mismanaged client experiences. The writing is on the wall, but nothing changes. They make all kinds of promises (to clients and employees) but then they turn around and do the opposite. There is no opportunity for growth. Employees are expected to own their ow. Development but are not given the tools and resources (let alone time) to do so. Unless you start listening to your front lines and make sure they are appreciated and recognized, things will only get worse from here.

J'ai travaillé chez Paycor en Contrat Permanent

    Avantages

ummm....waffles, selfie sticks, cool marketing stuff, idk- I can't think of many pro's of Paycor

    Inconvénients

Micro-managers are what this company is what of- from the top down. Their software sucks and our competitors- Paylocity and Paycom are beating us all the time because they're so much better. The managers here spend SO much time researching our competitors so we have word tracks around their better software when we're questioned about it. Maybe if they spent more time trying to improve our capabilities instead of smooth word tracks- we'd actually win and do what we say we can do.
There were MULTIPLE scandals at the executive level when I was here and everyone knew about them and did nothing. As of recently, one of the executives was fired but there's a few more that still remain here that shouldn't.

    Conseils à la direction

LISTEN to your reps in the field
    STOP micromanaging
    GET better software capabilities
    HIRE people that actually care
DO what you say you are going to do..instead of lying

Je travaille chez Paycor à plein temps (Plus d'un an)

    Avantages

Paycor has a vibrant culture and business goals aligned with aggressive growth. Put them together and you have a fun and exciting place to work. The people here are phenomenal and genuinely care about the work that they do.

    Inconvénients

As a company, Paycor is very set on growth and it's been that way for quite awhile. A negative side effect of this is neglecting to update their internal processes to sustain that level of growth.

    Conseils à la direction

You can't have two #1 priorities. Either the company's top priority is growth or it's providing outstanding service to clients. Clear communication on this would be well met.

    Avantages

    Base Pay, Nice HQ, Growth

    Inconvénients

Good-old boy network in senior leadership, inexperienced HR team, history of mass hiring and then mass layoffs, ineffective managers across many segments of organization, horrendous service team, get stuck in positions with no way out, revenue numbers and goals that do not add up, and culture of countless failed projects. Gross...

    Conseils à la direction

Get out meetings and stop looking at reports. You need to engage with your people and work with senior management and the service side of the house to fix the real problems you have going on. Your service is failing and you can never achieve any sought after initiatives. You have been trying to go public for to years plus with missed sales goals year-after-year, and you have ASVPs/Directors/Even CFOs that leave due to failed initiatives and over-spending. Stop promoting friends and get true professionals into senior roles.
