- Toxic culture
- Excessive micromanagement & finger pointing by CEO
- Short-term vision always win against things well done. Everyone has to cut corner to try to meet unrealistic deadlines. Forget about TDD metodology here. Legacy code smells (stinks) the fear of former programmers! They did what they could as fast as they can. And now you are required to maintain this monstruous pile of unmaintainable legacy code.
- Programmers are required to be on call & receive alert SMS on their personal phone 24/7 for free
- No time allowed to fix bugs = Even more calls on nights & weekends and we need to fix stuff in the database without investigating why it happenend until...it happen again. (Because you know, fixing bug won't bring any fresh money)
- A sharp eye might notice that a lot of perfect 5 stars review were added in a VERY short time span around june-july 2013 and then nothing happened for a few years. Either RobotShop wrotes their own perfect positive reviews on glassdoor or they forced employes to do so.
- Work hard play hard mantra = your personal life balance WILL go down the drain. Trust me, been there, done that, got the T-shirt.
- Oh yeah I almost forgot, email and chats between employes are constantly read by upper management & might get you into trouble if they think you are wasting time trying to keep a good working atmosphere with your collegues instead of working even harder
