Avantages
Large company with potential opportunities to move around. You can find good employees and managers, but very dependent on the group/business. Strong VP level managers and higher.
Inconvénients
Work experience is very dependent on your group/manager. As a company, BASF talks about doing the right things, such as retaining and recruiting talent, fostering and encouraging diversity, developing their employees, etc. but in reality it's mainly a lot of talk and no action. There is a lot of bureaucracy and BASF is slow to make changes. Very few decision makers outside of headquarters. There is also a lot of office politics and moving up in the organization is mainly dependent on who you know rather than abilities/performance. In addition, management doesn't seem to care when good employees leave the organization. Because of the lack of strong managers at both senior and director levels, the employees suffer and morale can be poor in certain groups.
