Avantages
EdApp has built a collection of some of the most diverse, amusing, and talented people I've had a chance to work with. Here's a list of some of the things that rock about working here:
The Work
- The platform is well designed and great to work with, it has many competitors in the category but I haven't been able to find any that take the unique approach that ours does
- The team is small, and you work elbow-to-elbow with developers, if you think of a smart enough idea for your clients, it could become implemented rapidly
- The platform is well received by clients, especially during demos
- No one is not assertive, instead the culture is very supportive, allows you to work around major life events with no hesitations. Management is less hands-on and more "get/do whatever you need to get the job done"
- Opportunity to work on tasks well above your role, simply by asking or just doing it. Strong personal and professional development opportunities.
- Strong culture behind the product, lots of organic support from coworkers. Lots of hard work from the team.
- Benefits; they're good, really good (!!!)
The Team
- The team is seriously kickass. They work hard and party harder. It sounds cliche, but it is true. Every single member so far has a huge heart, is very kind, and spends a lot of time together, even outside of work. They're cohesive and inclusive
- The team is diverse, with members from a good variety of countries, experiences, and backgrounds, they're eventful and have a strong company culture
- Every week the team goes out for a team lunch together in Nolita, which is covered by the company
- Really just so great, a great group of individuals with heaps of character
- CEO is probably a wizard? Big energy and motivation.
The Location
- It's Nolita, Nolita is obviously nice
- Coworking office is pretty good, modern w/ all glass, coffee, accessible roofspace, dining area, all hours remote access to front door.
Inconvénients
-HQ in Sydney AU makes collaboration with 2/3 of the team difficult, if you're working in the US. Some work/calls have to be relegated to before 10am or after 5pm. Expect about a day/half day delay on any projects or communications outside of this time window.
