Avantages

Met some nice people along the way..

Inconvénients

Difficult to find any positives for the business. The product is a bit average in my opinion, and doesn't really stand apart. Seems like EdApp's path to survival is to purely leverage off its parent company, (SafetyCulture) for customer referrals and business continuity. Seems more interested in copying and pasting Canva's path to success, without the "success" part.

Avantages

EdApp has built a collection of some of the most diverse, amusing, and talented people I've had a chance to work with. Here's a list of some of the things that rock about working here: The Work - The platform is well designed and great to work with, it has many competitors in the category but I haven't been able to find any that take the unique approach that ours does - The team is small, and you work elbow-to-elbow with developers, if you think of a smart enough idea for your clients, it could become implemented rapidly - The platform is well received by clients, especially during demos - No one is not assertive, instead the culture is very supportive, allows you to work around major life events with no hesitations. Management is less hands-on and more "get/do whatever you need to get the job done" - Opportunity to work on tasks well above your role, simply by asking or just doing it. Strong personal and professional development opportunities. - Strong culture behind the product, lots of organic support from coworkers. Lots of hard work from the team. - Benefits; they're good, really good (!!!) The Team - The team is seriously kickass. They work hard and party harder. It sounds cliche, but it is true. Every single member so far has a huge heart, is very kind, and spends a lot of time together, even outside of work. They're cohesive and inclusive - The team is diverse, with members from a good variety of countries, experiences, and backgrounds, they're eventful and have a strong company culture - Every week the team goes out for a team lunch together in Nolita, which is covered by the company - Really just so great, a great group of individuals with heaps of character - CEO is probably a wizard? Big energy and motivation. The Location - It's Nolita, Nolita is obviously nice - Coworking office is pretty good, modern w/ all glass, coffee, accessible roofspace, dining area, all hours remote access to front door.

Inconvénients

-HQ in Sydney AU makes collaboration with 2/3 of the team difficult, if you're working in the US. Some work/calls have to be relegated to before 10am or after 5pm. Expect about a day/half day delay on any projects or communications outside of this time window.

Avantages

Every day I am looking forward to coming to work as we are working on a product that actually does good for the world by democratizing learning via an innovative LMS. This place challenges you to expand your mind & create a future you'd be proud of. Truly a great team is working here - passionate, enthusiastic, smart, young, motivated colleagues from all over the world. Globally minded and diverse. Also, a supportive, fun and approachable leadership team. Having experience working in multiple startups I have never seen the CEO being so positively involved and supportive of the team, treating employees as a family and being passionate about the future of the company. You learn a ton from being around both the founders and teammates.

Inconvénients

Offices are located across multiple time zones (in US, UK or AUS) which means in order to have a better overlap with the other teams one needs to put in flexible/longer hours. It is a startup, thus don't expect a stable 9 to 5. Also, lacking a bit more transparency into the work of the teams on the other side of the world. The work is demanding but worth it. Not all processes are yet established, so one needs to be proactive.
