Avantages
I worked under Franchise for 25 yrs being office leader and tax pro. I was able to advance and work during off season for payroll clients, returns and client service. I made nice income that met with the work I did for the office, training new preparers and client service year round.
Inconvénients
In the first tax season of company buy back of our offices, management limited hours and deleted almost a full year of payroll information along with the program that had employer’s information. They spend a lot of time badgering you to make calls constantly to clients to the point that clients are made. They push for clients to download information that there are many complaints from clients. They focus on making appointments for everything even if it’s only someone dropping things off. Appointment to do return, appointment to come back, appointment to pick up….as someone comes in and gets checked in, it is pushed to download documents there or even at preparers desk leaving the client asking “Why?”. After client has gone through all of this, the preparer STILL has to mark they are starting the return. WASTE OF A LOT OF TIME NEEDLESSLY! They will continue to lose experienced preparers due to their excessive non caring attitude along with losing more and more clients. Also, pulling new employees in with no experience and giving them a title will not save them.
