The Titanic has hit the iceberg. Seriously, run away! - Avis employé Employé (anonyme) Jive Software

I am writing this review in hopes that no one makes the career, and potentially life ruining, mistake of accepting a position at Jive. I wish I could give negative stars to truly depict what "being a Jiver" is truly like. Jive will not be around much longer. Some very smart, talented, and kind people work at Jive. Unfortunately, many of them have no say in the company. If you are interviewing at Jive you are most likely a smart person with solid skills. Please, please, please you can do better than this. Heed my warning. RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN AND NEVER LOOK BACK! At one point it was probably ok. But things have gone south. Way south. And like any other frat-boy well past his prime, Jive is more pathetic than proud. Tirelessly touting how cool it used to be, and how it used to dominate the market, which is now ruled by Slack and SharePoint. So now fear and self-preservation rule. A binge-drinking (literally) aggressive frat-boy environment is now even more toxic, rife with passive-aggressive bullying, and backstabbing to distract from people's own ineptitudes. Unfortunately the "Jive way" means absent best practices and hastily slapping together non-functional software to make a quick buck, and hoping no one notices. One product in particular was so bad the engineers who designed it refused to use it. Management is clueless, and the ship is rudderless. No one knows what direction to steer the ship. Only that "WE NEED TO MAKE MONEY!" This is also EASILY the worst HR department, top to bottom, I have ever seen. The ship has already hit the iceberg.
