Avantages

Great people to work with at middle and junior levels.

Inconvénients

Upper level administration values enrollment over a fare wage for their employees. The location is not ideal for younger folk, or anyone without access to a vehicle.

Avantages

Tuition remission is valuable to some, but not all. Really only beneficial to high income families who do not qualify for Federal & NYS grants and loans. Tuition remission only applies to undergraduate degrees. If you have already paid for your student’s education, give this place a miss. Their Purple Perks are more like Bogus Bucks. Basically Monopoly money.

Inconvénients

- decades of wage stagnation/no raises - high turnover due to poverty wages - stingy vacation time and sick time - expectations of participating in after-hours bonding exercises - rigid schedule, no flextime, limited work-from-home opportunities - if you have a Bachelors or Masters degree, trust that a student worker, landscape technician and cafeteria staff member may make more than you do - expectations of contributing to pot lucks, retirement/birthday party gifts, all while knowing how little much of the staff makes - buildings are rarely cleaned, expect to move into a filthy office that you will spend 3 hours cleaning and another 20 minutes a week keeping it that way - food-centered goodwill is hyped up in the absence of true appreciation in the form of fair and reasonable earnings I could seriously go on for much longer.
