First, let me mention that we are glad you found our BCBAs to be very knowledgeable, and yes, they have been with us a long time (some have exceeded 15 years!). We did want to address a couple of your points. Regarding not using reinforcement techniques to address turnover, we have been in practice for over 25 years and have implemented most reinforcement-based strategies reported in the OBM literature. We have also brought in OBM consultants to devise reinforcement plans and have utilized a reinforcement app with all staff. Unfortunately, these have had limited success. Turnover is an issue in our industry and is commonly discussed among ABA agencies as we try to learn from each other. Lastly, we do agree that our data collection system was outdated and due for an update. We are all very excited because we are in the process of rolling out an entirely new data collection and clinical platform in the coming months that will eliminate all barriers to data collection and will be used from our own cell phones and tablets.
