Where do I start. CSL is large but CSL Research in Melbourne is relatively small. Most teams are nice but Data Science team is awful due to their leader. Leader doesn't even know what Data Science is, let alone how to lead a team. Expect a leader that is inexperienced, with only some weak generic IT skills that has climbed to the top due to manipulation and theatrics. Expect lack of vision, scale and expertise and outdated tech. Meetings filled with conflict, being yelled at and micromanaged. Expect for this to be framed as "high stress and high conflict are positive". Expect constant staff turnover where everyone else is blamed. Expect to learn no skills that are even related to data science in any other company. Basically there are no positives and I am looking to leave ASAP to anyone that will have me.
