Avantages
The people are fantastic and it is a relaxed and fun environment. There are social events, i.e. parties for everyone's birthday, and fantasy sports legaues, and they try to include everyone. The CEO is maybe one of the nicest guys you will ever meet; he is super smart and he really knows what he is doing. It is a fast paced startup environment where you are given a lot of responsibility; you feel that you are actually making a measurable contribution.
Inconvénients
It is a startup, and there are negatives that go with that. The benefits suck. No 401K plan, and the health insurance options are terrible. You can choose from a variety of plans and the Company will pay a small portion of it. You can take a policy that has you paying $10/month, but that plan is basically like not having insurance. If you actually want health coverage, expect to pay $300/month out of pocket.
Company revenue inflow fluctuates, so even if you are due for a raise, if the company is in one of its slow periods, you won’t get one.
There is great opporunity for advancement in title only. If on paper you have gotten a promotion, that does not mean the promotion is reflected in your salary.
