Avantages

Great pay and benefits. Safety program was designed properly.

Inconvénients

I worked and reported to Corporate leadership. They were unorganized, undisciplined, and only care about their career status! I was put on high priority environmental and safety projects that helped generate over $7M in new work with a major Oil & Gas Operator. I also was tasked to take our failing DOT compliance rating to new levels of compliance to over 90 percent in only 6 months. You would think they would reward hard work and dedication with a promotion. On the contrary, I was told to slow down because others in the company were getting mad at my production level. Their management practices are rude and they like to use the old carrot on the stick approach to motivate workers. Problem is the company is set up so no matter how much good you do for them, its not enough! Do not work for this company! You will just get let down and disappointed!

Avantages

I got a salary and benefits. I learned not to trust corporate to do what they say. valuable lesson.

Inconvénients

The CEO and board are absolutely clueless about how an oilfield service company works. they are all about money money money NOW. Understandable, but they are systematically screwing over every longterm employee who has any useful industry knowledge or experience. The refuse raises and promotions based on merit or seniority. The only way to advance at Express is threaten to quit if you don't get your way. So listen up new hires: don't sign a contract and you've basically got the keys to the kingdom. The CEO isn't wise enough to realize who the truly valuable employees are so he'll go to great lengths for any average joe who threatens to go to a competitor. Just don't expect to advance any other way. Loyalty means nothing to the decision makers here. When I left there were only a handful of employees who had been there for more than a year or two and most were working under new hires that made more money.
