There is no work-life balance, no project management software, and you are often finding yourself working past 6pm many times a week. My manager was very apathetic to this whole situation. They said 'its part of the industry' without addressing the problem of burnout.
Account teams are not helpful too, as they are apathetic to how designers work and our own schedules, juggling projects for multiple clients at a time. They also do not understand the basics of how video and motion graphics work, leading to unrealistic expectations. In other words, the design team at this company feels like an outside agency, but we really are not.
Many times also, everything is just too corporate-y and there is no human touch. Too much red tape for designs to go through; here its design by committee.
The healthcare options offered here are super sparse and are not useful sometimes (you only get to pick between 2 providers, both PPOs)
Many other small things that add up to a terrible work environment. I talked to other colleagues too and they said they also hated it. But I guess the pay is good enough to stay. It certainly was for me, but at what cost?
