Inconvénients
- Removal of frequency bonuses for tutors, resulting in real wage decreases of 3-4 euro per hour; from 16 down to about 13. - Introduction of 'free trial lessons' where tutors have to teach free lessons with no promise of payment unless the student signs up to GoStudent. Huge no-show costs to tutors if they miss giving this trial lesson. - Introduction of differential rates per subject, bringing high-demand subjects like GCSE Maths down to silly rates like 12 euros per hour - well below an acceptable rate for tutors with hundreds of lessons completed - Removal of Zoom subscription included in lesson setup, replaced by 'GoStudent' virtual learning platform. This platform crashes, doesn't allow annotation on screen and has far more bandwidth issues than Zoom preventing smooth and efficient lessons. Tutors complaining in groupchats with general dissatisfaction and outrage at the continued array of cuts, generally given with days-weeks notice. I will be leaving this company in the summer. Really disappointed.
