Avantages
Good mission, cute dogs, I wish there were more to add
Inconvénients
There are so many things I could say about why you should really consider working at this organization. Unfortunately the mission suffers at the hand of leadership. The leadership will also never change, as the CEO is the founder. I have never been treated so unprofessionally or felt as anxious in a position as I did at this organization. I would have anxiety attacks daily on the way to work (this is strangely a common experience as previous coworkers have told me the same). You are at the will of the COOs mood that day, so that will either mean you will receive a million compliments that day or she may scream at a room of employees (and I mean actually scream). While the mission is great, it is poorly executed with veteran waiting years on a waitlist for a dog and placement numbers being inflated. Pairings are few and far between, partially because they can’t keep employees on staff. During your interview you will be wowed and promised a million things that will make you excited to start. This may even include a promise of raises at 90 days and then having that completely forgotten about. They preach about growth, promising there’s a new location opening soon so there’s so much opportunity. They have been saying that for almost 10 years, there is no other location. The turn over is also so high, they wouldn’t be able to staff that location if they wanted to. Just be extremely weary, if you check the staff page, there are new faces weekly. That is for a reason.
