      Easy workload, cultural learning opportunities, long vacation times, opportunity to travel, free return flight airfare each contract period, very reasonable salary.

      Inconvénients

      Potential language barriers, potential culture shock and loneliness due to cultural and language barriers, possible work culture incompatibilities, lack of creative control within role.

      Avantages

      JETs have support from CLAIR , their Board of Education, and local AJET chapters. CLAIR provides training, orientations, and even funding for teaching certifications.

      Inconvénients

      Some ALTs co-teach actively and feel valued; others get stuck reading from a script. Your school, co-workers, and Board of Education make a big difference.
