Avantages

I worked here for a long time and can honestly say that the majority of shop floor staff and middle managers are decent committed people keen to do a good job according to perceived values and ethos that used to exist.

Inconvénients

Morale is at rock bottom due to senior management approach resulting in culture of fear. This is fear of losing your job, fear of being wrongly accused/scapegoated, lack of support & back up from above, finding your face suddenly doesn't fit anymore, knowledge that trying to highlight or fix the situation falls on deaf (senior) ears, change of culture that no longer values length of service & loyalty, negative impact on employees mental health. The organisation prides itself on its reputation as a good employer with a caring values based culture and anti poverty focus. Unfortunately this has become simply a facade and the shiney apple is rotten inside. This is especially evident when new starters quickly become disillusioned by the reality of working there. JRF does not practise what it preaches, and the hypocrisy is driving out the remaining few good people left.

Avantages

Flexible, hybrid working, good organisational values.

Inconvénients

Not being as good an employer as they make out on paper. I think some culture training would be good to ensure people are living the good values of the company while at work, such as compassion, integrity and inclusivity.
