      Avantages

      Kids are fun to work with, and my mental math abilities have skyrocketed. Our boss is super good with parents-- all we do is come in, tutor math, joke around with the kids, and head out. (Well, and clean up, if it's the end of the day.)

      Inconvénients

      Kids can be a pain to work with. You sometimes see the same math worksheet ten times in a given week. Shifting from kid to kid (when they are working at different levels. Say, geometry vs. learning to add) within a tutoring pod distracts from more interesting one-on-one discussions.

      Avantages

      Flexible hours that I could choose, nice working space. My boss was nice and very reasonable. Pay was decent after I completed some certifications. When the teaching was effective it was pretty rewarding and it can be fun to talk to the kids.

      Inconvénients

      It was honestly a very tiring job. The kids can get really rowdy and difficult to manage, especially if you have to teach three at the same time. Management required us to use tablets and a finicky platform for worksheets that was not helpful and forced me to further split my attention.
