      Avantages

      You are exposed to many types of animals (dogs, cats, wildlife, etc.) with direct contact most of the time.

      Inconvénients

      Very high turn-over leaving staff overworked. Constant barrage of negative comments from management. There is nothing positive anyone has to say. If you are front of house (customer service) you will meet thousands of very angry customers. This is a shelter that deals with peoples sick or lost animals. If you can't handle confrontation or conflict then run away.

      Avantages

      Very fulfilling work. Certainly has you feeling as if you've made a difference in the community.

      Inconvénients

      Zero communication between management levels. You will not be notified of anything in advance, expect to have the rug pulled from under you every day with zero communication about day to day operations.
