Some departmental managers completely lacking any empathy towards their staff and happy to pile on more and more pressure until you reach breaking point. Bloated middle management structure with some people there purely to deliver the messages from above. Constant unnessecary reshuffles and relocation of departments that the threat of redundancy follows you everywhere you go. One specific department used to have incredibly high levels of people off sick with work related stress. The answer to this was to make the department redundant and moved it across the country. Now that new department has incredibly high levels of work relayed stress issues. Coincidentally the departmental manager remained the same. Previous CEO used to care about employee wellbeing, new CEO clearly determined to stamp his authority and pull back all of the good work that had been done. Company talks about how much they want to support staff during a cost of living crisis, but is happy to force people in to the office an extra day a week and therefore accrue additional living expenses.
