Wow, where do I start? The HR leadership was the worst!! There is absolutely no trust, no respect of the HR team's skills, education and experience which lead to constant micromanagement of the global HR team and cultivated a culture of constant fear throughout the team and expectation of reproach and admonishment. HR leadership shouting during every HR monthly meeting I attended (thankfully not at me), with frequent threats of 'terminating' the global HR team and no amount of work ever being good enough or up to standard!!!! I've honestly never heard so many people apologise in each monthly meeting for doing a great job! This fear bred a blame culture, so that the spotlight was on somebody else ... anybody else but them! Absolutely no tolerance of ANY mistakes by anyone in the HR team, but no training given on the antiquated Oracle system. Outdated and time consuming approval processes that must have cost a fortune in man hours and were completely unnecessary if current automated approval processes were incorporated. Everyone was so scared of US management, that if you dared make a slight mistake (like not putting the exact wording for the heading for an email), several people would call or email you within seconds to point out that you've made a mistake and order you to recall the email and correct it immediately before management saw it!
