Avantages
My immediate team was great, we worked well together, the manager was responsive and communicative, and the team leader was flexible and accommodating. The CEO is capable and the business side of the company did not seem to have too many issues.
Inconvénients
The upper level leadership of the research side was rife with issues. Although my immediate team was great, the upper management did not appreciate the work the team put in, and stopped the effort for market rate adjustment at the higher level. There is a marked difference in treatment between different company sites, and there is very little effort to treat satellite site research employees (though also full time employees of the company) equally. Upper scientific management blamed research personnel for failure in projects, unable to realize that the failure lay in the theory itself and not the people trying to prove it. Their solution was to lay people off and hire new people to try to prove the same broken theorem.
