Avantages

The people!it’s the reason so many others have stayed for so long. We were 2 companies that merged and the people with the longest tenure and knowledge really are the beating heartbeat of the company. They’re doing their best to maintain the culture whilst riding out the upheaval and changes over the last few years. There still remains a lot of optimism as we have an excellent product in a space we dominate. I’m lucky the managers and colleagues I’ve worked with really care about your wellbeing and know that this is the best way to get the most out of you!

Inconvénients

The changes in leadership and management which then incurs some inevitable changes in direction, process and adds to the anxiety with regards to stability. Channeladvisor maintained a pretty steady leadership for many years with very few departures in the grand scheme. There was always a clear direction with look after its people 1st at its core. The changes we’ve been through since the merger have been a mixed bag of some good, some questionable. I remain optimistic we can steady the ship and be a place people are keen to work at again.

Avantages

CS org combined with Renewals some time ago. Since then, the Customer Success leadership has put the team in a great position to succeed. Providing solid tools and direction, using metric-based approaches and not aimless goals (like having to hit a generic 'calls made' goal)

Inconvénients

Upward movement career-wise can be a challenge

Avantages

-Smart, supportive colleagues and I had great management on my side of the services business -Fully remote with solid benefits and PTO (doesn't roll over year-to-year anymore but you do get a lot of it) -Platform that covers almost every facet of ecommerce and exposes you to tons of different functions and use cases of it daily -Opportunities to work with leading brands and marketplace partners -Rithum for Brands (formerly ChannelAdvisor) name still carries a lot of weight in the space

Inconvénients

-Pay here has never been competitive and is disproportionate to the levels of stress and responsibility -Leadership leaning way too much on outsourcing for client facing tasks -Success here started to feel more defined by activity metrics instead of client growth and sentiment -Lots of the typical 2026 messaging around AI that often doesn't feel particularly relevant to clients' issues or what your needs are in the role
