      Avantages

      - Very modern office in the heart of Prague 8 - Karlin. Nothing to complain about there, I honestly could not ask for a better set up and feel spoiled (and I worked for other big companies before like Amazon in the same area). - Excellent compensation package, esp. private health care, pension contribution, regular yoga/language classes, plenty of office snacks and office breakfast twice a week. - Challenges you but does not crush you - sweet balance for those who want to grow. - Lots of very knowledgeable experts from various fields of development, UX/UI, incident response, Win/Mac/Linux devs - plenty of talent to learn from and learn with. - Emphasis on the use of modern technologies and deploying cutting edge tools, including Claude for everyone with a generous budget to encourage learning and knowledge-sharing. - The CEO is not willing to sell the company to investors and has his heart in it, together with his right hand, the CBO. They have a great partnership that enlightens the rest of the company and are the cornerstone for S1's growth (even if the stock is not up).

      Inconvénients

      - Due to the international nature of teams, as a manager, I have frequent calls in late afternoons and evenings, which clashes with family life. This is compensated with replacement time off or flexi time (and is encouraged by HR, no non-sense there, which is great). - The pace is fast, esp. with the enhancement in AI tech - you have to be willing to learn on the go and keep oneself humble in the knowledge sphere.

      Avantages

      Cyber is a relevant and hot area right now. The tech has some solid differentiators but most of it is hype

      Inconvénients

      CEO is nowhere to be seen. Seems to dislike public appearances. Many other executive C levels that have been here since the IPO don’t seem to work. HR is dysfunctional. It’s the only part of the company that seemingly gets any investment. Company loves to announce products but seemingly can’t release them on time or without extensive issues. Reps spend months on selling only to lose due to product deficiencies. There seems to be an appetite to buy companies and then let them die.
