- There has been a steady trickle of leaders of departments leaving/getting let go (Legal, Strategic Finance, Accounting, Reconditioning, Field, Engineering, Product) which is above what you see at a traditional start-up and more similar to what many companies that are backed by SoftBank are seeing - After six years, the leadership team has no idea how to differentiate itself from other tech-enabled marketplace companies in a way that will ensure the company being gross margin profitable - While the company tries OKRs and quarterly goals, it rarely is able to keep the goal consistent for a quarter. Direction changes on a weekly basis based on whatever the executives focus on for that week. It makes it challenging for the team executing to know what the focus should be - COO is one of the most abrasive people to interact with. He consistently sends group emails or has Zoom video calls where he verbally bashes people. He has brought numerous people to tears or to the verge of leaving the company - Co-CEOs are so far removed from the day to day that they have little understanding of what is happening in the trenches - HR is almost non-existent at the company. Two of the people who were located at HQ quit
