I had a disappointing experience with this company regarding their handling of probation periods and employee benefits. Despite consistently meeting performance expectations during my initial three-month probation, the company unilaterally extended my probation by another three months on the advice of a new director joining the company two months after me.
It became clear that the decision was not performance-related but rather a way to delay providing full-time employee benefits, as they are unable to provide a good justification to this extension. They decided to exploit this just because I was holding a Work Pass which was sponsored by them. This kind of practice feels exploitative and demoralizing, especially when no constructive feedback or performance issues were raised.
Such actions reflect poorly on the company’s integrity and employee relations. I would caution potential hires to seek black and white commitments about probation timelines and benefits upfront. A company that hesitates to invest in its employees after they’ve proven their value raises serious concerns about long-term career growth and fair treatment.
Additionally, the company operates without proper ISO certifications or well-defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This lack of structure leads to confusion, inconsistency in expectations, and poor communication across teams. For anyone expecting a professional work environment with clear guidelines and fair treatment, this company may fall short.
