Avantages
When I started at SimpleSignal, I was hired as an outside contractor for a 3-month trial period, just to make sure that it was a good fit. Turns out, it was a GREAT fit! Unlike many larger telecom companies, SimpleSignal prides itself on maintaining a "family" culture. Anyone in the company can reach out to the CEO of other C-level leadership and know that their voice will be heard. Whether it's a suggestion for improving process, a concern about an upcoming product launch, or simply to ask questions about particular company policies - the doors are always open. The leadership team works tirelessly to make sure that all employees are treated fairly and with respect. Under this impressive leadership, the internal teams - sales, training, provisioning, support, accounting, marketing and engineering - are equipped with the best collaboration tools possible to work as a well-oiled machine. Working together to bring a superb solution set to the market, these teams are backed by outstanding employees that really know their stuff! SimpleSignal hires some of the best and brightest in the country, and the commitment to building strong teams is evident on a daily basis. As for work/life balance - SimpleSignal is the greatest! While many companies require vacation request forms and approvals from the "higher ups," SimpleSignal has an unlimited vacation policy. If someone needs time off for any reason, they can have it. As long as their manager is on board and their work is either complete or covered by a team member. Obviously, there are people who might abuse this policy, but what we have seen in the past is that those who work hard for the company rarely abuse this awesome benefit. Those that do are generally identified early on, and likely weren't a good fit for the company in the first place. All-in-all, SimpleSignal has an amazing culture with great leadership and a stellar work environment. Our team is more like a family than a group of co-workers. We celebrate family, successes and achievements as a team. I don't think I'll ever find another company quite like this one!
Inconvénients
SimpleSignal isn't a huge company with massive personnel and budgets. Oftentimes, employees have to step outside of their "job duties" to help the team take it to the next level. While some people may have a "that's not my job' mentality, most of the people in the company are more than willing to help other employees or departments in any way they can. Ultimately, we work toward the success of the company as a whole, not just the success of ourselves.
