Avantages
The Vice President of Support and Services is the best boss I've ever had. He's humble, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. He understands the value of making a genuine connection with your employees and keeping them challenged and supported. I miss working for him. He's a good man and it was fun getting to know him over the years. I learned more from him in 3+ years than I did from any other boss (or coworker) at any other job. The most senior consultant in Professional Services also made my time at the company a good experience. He's one of the smartest people I've ever worked with in 20+ years of software consulting. He's a quiet guy who's really busy but he always made time to collaborate/strategize. He understands the value of building up your team because it raises the bar for everyone. He was easy to approach with complex issues/questions and never used it as an opportunity to make you look bad or advance his own image at the company. He just helped you and moved on. Whenever I read reviews on glassdoor that are overly positive, I think they're fake or clearly trying to "get something" out of it. That's not the case with my review. Maybe they'll figure out who I am (and that's fine) but I purposefully waited a couple years to speak up about my experience at the company because I didn't want it to be just a knee jerk reaction. As a guy who's been on the road for most of his career, I've been exposed to companies all over the world and I can split them into 3 categories: top 10, middle 80, and bottom 10. I don't remember the middle 80 because they all blend in with each other. I do remember the top 10 and bottom 10. Sunview is in the top 10. Their people make it an amazing place to work - good people working hard to take care of their customers with an innovative product. I currently work for a place that I would consider in the bottom 10 - so perhaps it's the contrast, but it certainly gives me a good perspective on how good I had it at Sunview.
Inconvénients
Honest answer - the money. It's why I left. I'm guessing they really take care of their top tier performers because they're all long term employees. I never quite made it to that level in my department.
