Avantages

Lots of good people who work hard and care about their job. Decent benefits.

Inconvénients

Procurement leadership micromanages, does not appreciate the realities of leveraging and positioning in contractual negotiations, is overly focused on bidding relatively small work without regard to value and does not take the effort to know all of the work being done. The entire staff has turned over in 14 months and cannot get people to stay for the long term. Working long hours and weekends is commonplace. Look into the financial health of the company before pursuing a position. Operational challenges could be a concern.

Avantages

TPC is great to their employees. Despite being a petrochemical company, they are flexible on hybrid wfh arrangements and value growing their employees skills.

Inconvénients

They hire a lot of contractors. Not so bad a thing, but it can make it hard to become an employee

Avantages

A technically demanding, stable employer with good pay and strong frontline people — with engaged workers on the frontline.

Inconvénients

A technically demanding, stable employer with good pay and strong frontline people — but challenged by aging assets, heavy workloads, and uneven leadership effectiveness resulting from infighting at and above the director level.
