Avantages
Offered a great opportunity for industry change; they recognize transferable skills Most of the people you work around make it a fun place to spend your day Ongoing challenges and opportunities to gain additional skills
Inconvénients
Where to begin. First, they advertise, recruit and pay as an "entry-level position with a start up company". Company has been around a few years, and the positions require a much higher level of aptitude and experience than they lead on. It makes the pay almost insulting, and no one can live on it - it's literally poverty level pay. Contrary to their claims, leadership, coaching and mentorship is non-existant. Even solicited feedback is sidestepped. They clearly hired for "management" and not "leadership". Over the last 6 mos the US site has been open, I've seen an enormous shift in management style. At first it was casual, open and encouraged self-accountability. You can see and sense the shift towards a micromanagement approach; there's a new rule everytime you turn around. I've never worked somewhere where I had to answer to HR for job duties. HR has way too much power over the entire site.
