Avantages
The company has a good reputation. People I tell that I work for IR that know it, know it as a well respected company. We have a proud history and a reputation for quality and innovation. Payment is good. Honestly, that is probably the main reason I am still with the company. Financially, I am doing OK with the company. I do well enough that I can go home and enjoy my life with my family. The 401k is great. The matching up to 6% is fantastic. The pay and benefits make IR a hard place to want to leave for those reasons.
Inconvénients
Horrible Management. Political Environment is bad. I have worked here for around a decade. Things are as bad as I ever remember them. That includes the time after 9/11 when people were being fired all over the place. I did not start out working for Industrial Technologies, obviously. The previous components of Industrial Technologies were autonomous and more responsive to our customers. ITS is big and unresponsive. It is now a stereotypical huge business that is part of an even bigger business that cares way WAY more about bottom lines and stock prices, than doing what we are actually supposed to do. That is to make top quality equipment that help our customers do what they do. If we focused more on that, the stock price and bottom line would take off like a rocket.
