Some internal processes need to be refined and enforced.

VideoRay is a company that grew out of a backyard garage project, which has both it's upsides and downsides. Management is approachable, there's direct communication between departments, and the business culture isn't suffocating. Benefits are good. Employees have one boss generally, meaning there's nothing getting crossed or mixed up. Management is direct and easy to deal with.

Some of the downsides is that the company is still in the process of adapting to it's growth out of the backyard. Lack of concrete and established processes means that it's occasionally difficult to get people to take responsibility for certain things they feel fall outside their domain, which sometimes means things fester until they become an immediate problem. The company is taking steps to resolve this, but it's slow going. However the small state of the company means that there's not a lot of room for promotion or advancement.
