- Hugely KPI driven (despite claiming not to be) Weekly KPI’s are set for the number of CV sends, 1st stage interviews, 2nd stage interviews, meetings, calls, head hunt calls etc. Progress is officially checked every morning with a one on one meeting, your team leader who also checks in with you every couple of hours wanting an update on what you have been doing.
- It is not acceptable to not hit every KPI’s and a lot of pressure is placed upon you. Management don’t really care how you do it as long as the figures are right at the end of the day / week. This leads to consultants spamming out CV’s – not good recruitment.
- You have monthly financial targets set following your first month in the business, If you miss this target once you have a chat with your team leader and told if you miss them again there will either be a more formal meeting with a Director or you will be asked to leave the business.
- The management style very much revolves around scare tactics and exploiting the threat of losing your job to bring out the best in you. It really is a one management style fits all approach so if this isn’t how you like to be managed don’t join Xcede. Consultants are asked to leave the business frequently making building internal relationships difficult.
- There is no support available. when you are put in a difficult position with management. Equally there is no one to advise management on how certain process should be managed.
- Some team leaders have more say in the business than others, some bill and some don’t. It can be quite confusing and means that teams are not all on an equal footing.
- If you personally haven’t reached all of your targets or overall your team hasn’t you will be made to feel bad / stupid and you will ignored by management......... Yes it really is that pathetic!
- Mixed policy’s and rules on candidate / client ownership leads to issues on the sales floor and arguments and an uncomfortable environment.
- Management consistently moves the goal posts, you never really know what’s expected of you.
- Ignore the contracted working hours... if you are not at your desk from 8am till at least 7pm every day you will be spoken about negatively - regardless of your personal circumstances.
In terms of the office culture... its is far from professional...
