1st round was a phone screening with the recruiter, where we went over some basic information such as my background, time to start, salary expectation etc.
2nd round was onsite and interviewed everyone with the team. They were looking to expanding the data science team, which would be a plus to work in a growing team.
3rd round was a follow-up data challenge. Very easy though.
The office has a lofty feel, which is plus if you like that nyc lofty style.
It was all pros until I was offered the position. The salary turned out to be lower than the minimum that I could accept which had been communicated with the recruiter in the very beginning.
They constantly emphasized that marketing companies tend to pay less than tech or finance, but given that my previous position was in a competitor company in the marketing industry, it was safe to say that their salary was much lower than the average. Their overall benefits were also below industry standard, including 401k match and paid time off. One good thing about the company was that they seemed pretty chill. If you are looking for a place to have some income and enjoy life, this would be a nice place. The overall process took two months. It was a total waste of time for both sides.
