I had an initial call with the recruiter. It went well, but then the salary was revealed; it was ridiculously low, especially for Fairfax. I had to pass up further discussion, but... The recruiter called back and they said they could meet my salary demands. I went in a few days later for a formal interview, and it went well. I felt good about my chances. After not hearing anything for three weeks, I was offered a position with a different organization. I called AVIXA and asked about the status of my candidacy. The recruiter did not even recall which position I had applied for (it's not a large organization; how many positions could have been open?). He called me back and said they had moved on. Gee, thanks for telling me.
