I had one interview over the phone, for 20 minutes. The recruiter asked why I was looking for a new job as I had just started a job a few months ago. I mentioned that my resume and cover letter stated that my current role was a 6 month contract that was almost coming to an end. The recruiter was rude and judgmental in her tone. I never received a call or email back regarding where my candidacy stands.

I was contacted over email by a recruiter. This was a 20-30 minute phone interview. See notes below on questions and first impressions for more information on what was asked.

Question 1
Very traditional questions unrelated to the position but more so related to cultural fit- tell me about your strengths and weaknesses, tell me about a time you went above & beyond... my interview experience was negative. The recruiter was late to the call and sounded very rough...maybe she was a smoker, frequently coughing on the phone. She had to take a minute to ‘find my resume’ she also audibly yawned during the conversation which was very rude. She also neglected to tell me what the salary range was until I asked. I was over the range and let her know I probably wasn’t the best fit.
